The Parable of The Workers in the Vineyard

Matt 20:1-16 "For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who was the master of a household, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. When he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard. He went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace. To them he said, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.’ So they went their way. Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise. About the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle. He said to them, ‘Why do you stand here all day idle?’ "They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’ "He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and you will receive whatever is right.’ When evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his steward, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning from the last to the first.’ "When those who were hired at about the eleventh hour came, they each received a denarius. When the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise each received a denarius. When they received it, they murmured against the master of the household, saying, ‘These last have spent one hour, and you have made them equal to us, who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat!’ "But he answered one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Didn’t you agree with me for a denarius? Take that which is yours, and go your way. It is my desire to give to this last just as much as to you. Isn’t it lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?’ So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen."

Logic Behind The Design Of Digits
Do you ever wonder how the shape of digits were designed? What is logic behind numbers?
The numbers we all use (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) are known as "arabic" numbers to distinguish them from the "Roman Numerals" (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, etc). Actually the Arabs popularized these numbers but they were originally used by the early phonecian traders to count and keep track of their trading accounts.
Have you ever thought why ........ 1 means "one", and 2 means "two"? The roman numerals are easy to understand but what was the logic behind the phonecian numbers?
It's all about angles !
It's the number of angles. If one writes the numbers down (see below) on a piece of paper in their older forms, one quickly sees why. Angle are marked with "o"s.
No 2 has two angles.
No 3 has three angles.
etc.
and "O" has no angles

The Parable of the Lost Sheep

Luke 15:3-7 He told them this parable.
"Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, wouldn’t leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one that was lost, until he found it? When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing. When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance."
The Parable of Lost Coin

Luke 15:8-10 Or what woman, if she had ten drachma coins, if she lost one drachma coin, wouldn’t light a lamp, sweep the house, and seek diligently until she found it? When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the drachma which I had lost.’ Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting."

The Parable of the Prodigal Son
"There was a man who had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, 'Father give me the share of his property that will belong to me.' So he divided the property between them. A few days later the younger son gathered all he had and traveled to a distant country, and there he squandered his property in dissolute living. When he had spend everything, a severe famine took place throughout that country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed the pigs. He would gladly have filled himself with the pods that the pigs were eating; and no one gave him anything. But when he came to himself he said, 'How many of my father's hired hands have bread enough and to spare, but here I am dying of hunger! I will get up and go to my father, and I will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son, treat me like one of your hired hands."' So he set off and went to his father. But while he was still a far off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion; he ran and put his arms around him and kissed him. Then the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to his slaves, 'Quickly, bring out a robe--the best one--and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. And get the fatted calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; for this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to celebrate. "Now his elder son was in the field; and when he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing. He called on of the slaves and asked what was going on. He replied, 'Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fatted calf because he has got him back safe and sound.' Then he became angry and refused to go in. His father came out and began to plead with him. But he answered his father, 'Listen! For all these years I have been working like a slave for you, and I have never disobeyed you command; yet you have never given me even a young goat so that I might celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours came back, who has devoured your property with prostitutes, you killed the fatted calf for him!' Then the father said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life; he was lost and has been found.'" (Luke 15:11-3)

How to Drink Water
How to drink water?
are we really doing the right method????
How to drink water?
If someone asked you how to drink water, you might think it's a silly
question.
Everyone needs water, everyone drinks water everyday and most people
know to drink water when they are thirsty.
But drinking water may not be as simple as you thought.
Especially in the dry winter weather, there are certain things that need
attention.
Water-drinking timetable
6:30-7:00
After a night's sleep, your body really needs water.
Drinking about 250cc of water as soon as you get up helps clean out your
liver and kidney.
It's a good idea to hold off on breakfast until the water has entered
every cell of your body, so try not to eat for half an hour after
drinking the water.
8:00-9:00
The commute to the office in the morning can be stressful, and this
dehydrates your body.
Drink at least 250cc of water when you get to work to refresh yourself
from the commute.
11:00
After working several hours in a closed office, the heat may dry out
your skin.
Drink some water to help moisturize your body and decrease work-related
stress.
13:00
Drinking water after lunch not only helps your digestion but also helps
keep your body in shape.
15:00-16:00
In the afternoon many people may feel sleepy and cannot concentrate on
their work.
If this sounds like you that means you should drink some water to give
yourself a lift.
15:00
Before you leave the office, drinking water can make you feel full.
It especially works for people on diets.
22:00
Drink a cup of water half an hour to an hour before you sleep, which can
help prevent blood clots.
How to drink water
Pay attention to both quantity and quality Most people know they should
drink about eight cups of water (About 2000cc) per day.
This amount of water provides your body with enough moisture, clears the
gut and stomach as well as speeds up blood circulation.
But what they overlook is the correct drinking method.
The best way to drink water is to drink one cup in a series of small
swallows or mouthfuls.
You shouldn't drink only when you are thirsty.
Choose alkalescent water
The Ph of human blood is around 7.4,
and it is healthy for the human body to be in an alkaline state.
But nowadays, people are eating more deep-fried and greasy foods that
are acidic and bad for the body.
Because of this, the body needs more alkaline to balance its Ph.
Alkalescent water refers to natural water with a Ph balance between 7.1
and 7.8.
Mineral water is the best for this, but remember, mineral water is not
the same as pure water.
Mineral water has many natural minerals that are absorbable correctives.
Pure water is a kind of acidic water that may cause the loss of some
useful body micronutrients.
Moisturize your body both inside and out Usually people ingest water
through their mouths, but you can also 'drink' water through your skin,
by taking a spa, or hot spring bath or using moisturizing cosmetics.

What is that Called? U know?

Or, there's a name for that? Here is a list of 10 things that have names you probably never heard of. Like the metal piece that connects the eraser to a pencil? What's that called?-The metal band that connects the pencil eraser to the end of the pencil.
3-D Painted Rooms

Instead of having a boring, white office, why not paint 3-D like images that appear as such when standing at a certain point?
These rooms are painted so that, when looked at right, optical illusions will appear. Very cool.

Stick Margarine.

Instead of dishing this out of a tub, why not just twist and apply? Now the problem is solved! Introducing stick margarine!
This might look like your average glue stick, but this is in fact a concept idea for a new product. Margarine On A Stick helps to make sure you don’t break your crackers as you put your margarine spread on them for yummy time.
At least this is a glue stick you don’t have to worry about your kid eating. Unless you don’t mind a little fatty running around your house wielding a stick of fake butter.

Walk with your fish !
Now this is one clever and funny bird!

A seagull in Scotland has developed the habit of stealing from a neighborhood shop.
The seagull waits until the shopkeeper isn't looking, and then walks into the store and grabs a snack-size bag of cheese Doritos.
Once outside, the bag gets ripped open and shared by other birds.
The seagull's shoplifting started early this month when he first swooped into the store in Aberdeen, Scotland, and helped himself to a bag of crisps. Since then, he's become a regular. He always takes the same type of crisps.
Customers have begun paying for the seagull's stolen bags of crisps because they think it's so funny.

Happy Mooncake Festival!
Full moon view at my place...
In China Time Zone, the Chinese Moon Festival Day is on September 25, 2007, September 14, 2008, October 3, 2009, September 22, 2010, September 12, 2011 and September 30, 2012.
Why is the Chinese Moon Festival in October last year?
Usually the Chinese Moon Festival is in the September. Why is the date of Chinese Moon Festival in October in 2006? This this because year 2006 has extra lunar month - double 7th lunar month (Leap Month).
In China time zone, the 7th lunar month of 2006 was on 07-25-2006 and the 7th lunar leap month was 8-24-2006. Therefore, 2006 has two Chinese Valentine's Days, which is on the 7th lunar day of 7th lunar month. This impact pushes down the date of Chinese Moon Festival into October. It also forces that the Chinese New Year day of 2007 comes later on 02-18-2007 by comparing 01-29-2006 in January.

New Nokia 6500 Aluminium Sleek !

Nokia today announced two new handsets, the Nokia 6500 classic and Nokia 6500 slide. Along with third generation WCDMA technology and contemporary designs, these new devices are aimed at driving the benefits of third generation technology to the mid-range market.
"With the Nokia 6500 classic and Nokia 6500 slide, Nokia is combining these areas of expertise to deliver a compelling blend of design and technology at a mid-range price point," said Peter Ropke, Senior Vice President, Broad Appeal Business Unit, Nokia.
"While features like the aluminum "loop" structure of the Nokia 6500 classic or the Carl Zeiss optics found in the Nokia 6500 slide separate these devices from the pack, it is the balance of features and style that will make them irresistible to customers", said Ropke.
Nokia 6500 classic
Crafted from 360 degrees of anodized aluminum, the Nokia 6500 classic is 9.5mm thin. According to Nokia, each Nokia 6500 classic is individually polished, ensuring that no two phones are exactly alike, while diamond polishing used on the beveled display aperture and cold stamped logo demonstrate the highest levels of craftsmanship.
Featuring dual band 3G technology and quad-band GSM for worldwide roaming, the Nokia 6500 classic also features a full 1 GB of internal memory. It is equipped with the Series 40 interface, includes a 2 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and an integrated music player. Furthermore, a unified micro-USB connector simplifies charging, audio and data connectivity by consolidating them into a single compact port. This allows for the Nokia 6500 classic to be easily used as a high-capacity flash drive or to be charged directly from a laptop computer - all with one cable.
Nokia 6500 slide
The Nokia 6500 features a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and the addition of autofocus, a dual LED flash and 8x digital zoom. It also uses 3G technology. The TV-out jack will allow users to be instantly viewed on any television with standard RCA inputs. The TV-out feature can also be used for video calling.
It's equipped with a hard coating that helps to prevent scuffs, scratches, and even fingerprints.

Longest place name in New Zealand

World's longest Place name..... found this while surfing looking for the longest name in the world.... and found this: (click on image to see better)
The name on the sign that marks this hill is 'Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu', which translates roughly as The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about, played his flute to his loved one. At 85 letters, it is one of the longest placenames in the world.
Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu is the Māori name for an otherwise unremarkable hill, 305 metres high, close to Porangahau, south of Waipukurau in southern Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. The name is often shortened to Taumata by the locals for ease of conversation.

A Wonderful gift from ODB- Knowing GOD thru JOB.

Ever wonder what is a good news and what is a bad news to u? Why am I still suffering and why is God not helping me.... hehe... Just like the actor Jim Carey who acted "Bruce Nolan" in the movie "Bruce Almighty", a comedy, telecasted in mediacorp channel 5 not long ago.... well.... He may find all that is bad news not comforting and chose to blame God when things go wrong....but the question is...how do we define a miracle?...what is a miracle to u? ......I found this little treasure Our Daily Bread...an in depth understanding of the Book of JOB...Well i hope u can pass this on to ur friends as well... and besides life is not just a journey.... to me, it is an adventure....
"Suffering is a test. It's a test of our faith, our character, our values, and our love for God. It's a test that can make us bitter or better. It can make us bitter if we jump to the wrong conclusions about why God has allowed our pain. It can make us better if our eyes are opened to the wonder, power, wisdom, goodness, and love of God.
Job went into the fire a good and godly man. He came out better for his trouble. In this booklet, David Egner gives us a summary of Job's experience. We pray that through it you will come to a deeper appreciation not only of Job but of the God he learned to trust as never before."
cheers :^)

Heard this historical ver of Mooncake story?

In 1280 AD, the Mongolians destroyed the Song Dynasty and controlled China during the Yuan Dynasty (1280AD -1368 AD). Under Mongolian rule, Chinese people were oppressed, persecuted and treated like slaves. Finally, the Chinese had enough and planned a revolution to be held during the August Moon Festival in 1368.
Because Mongolians don’t eat mooncakes, the Chinese planned to overthrow the Mongolians by sending secret messages in mooncakes. Chinese bakers were told to send mooncakes to all Chinese households with the message to execute all Mongolians after the August Moon family gathering. Chinese families were instructed to not to eat the mooncakes until the 15th of the 8th lunar moon.

Beautiful One - Liners
Give God what's right -- not what's left.
Man's way leads to a hopeless end -- God's way leads to an endless hope.
A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.
He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.
In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma--but never let him be the period.
Don't put a question mark where God puts a period.
Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a faith-lift.
When praying, don't give God instructions - just report for duty.
Don't wait for six strong men to take you to church.
We don't change God's message -- His message changes us.
The church is prayer-conditioned.
When God ordains, He sustains.
WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning.
Plan ahead -- It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position.
Suffering from truth decay? Brush up on your Bible.
Exercise daily -- walk with the Lord.
Never give the devil a ride -- he will always want to drive.
Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it.
Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming back.
He who angers you controls you.
Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop.
Give Satan an inch & he'll be a ruler.
Be ye fishers of men -- you catch them & He'll clean them.
God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
Read the Bible -- It will scare the hell out of you.

I only care about U
Ah...... here's the lyrics...."I only care about you....."
Here's more of Teresa Teng herself....videos..

Google Earth Sky !
Explore the Sky
With about a hundred million stars and two hundred million galaxies, Sky in Google Earth lets you explore the heavens like never before.
Switch your view to see the sky above your Earth location, and explore far-away galaxies, nebulae, and more. Zoom in to see imagery from the Hubble Space Telescope, learn about the lifecycle of a star, or even view the constellations. After all, the Earth doesn't sit in a vacuum... that would be an awful waste of space.

Mobile ODB for U

Our Daily Bread is a very popular daily devotional digest read by Christians all over the world. Now, you can read it on your cell phone.
For a few months I've been a reader of Our Daily Bread. I have the booklets mailed to me and I try my best from time to time to give them a read. Of course, being me, I went on my search for something pointing towards a mobile version. I did come across a link to bookmark on my mobile but I wanted something a little better than that.
ODB Mobile Daily Devotions
This version of ODB is a java app that can be installed on your device. Since ODB is a monthly periodical you will have to download the newest version every month.

The NET Bible offers a wap version (wap is the cellular version of the internet) of their Bible. All you have to do is enter wap.bible.org in your cell phone’s web browser and not only do you have access to the entire Bible, but also the extensive notes that the NET is famous for. The ESV also has a mobile version of their translation at www.esv.org/mobile. The ESV includes a few devotions and a chronological and one-year Bible.
A nice poem to share from a friend.....

Unfold The Rose
A new minister was walking with an older, more seasoned minister in the garden one day. Feeling a bit insecure about what God had for him to do, he was asking the older preacher for some advice.
The older preacher walked up to a rosebush and handed the young preacher a rosebud and told him to open it without tearing off any petals..
The young preacher looked in disbelief at the older preacher and was trying to figure out what a rosebud could possibly have to do with his wanting to know the will of God for his life and ministry. But because of his great respect for the older preacher, he proceeded to try to unfold the rose, while keeping every petal intact.
It wasn't long before he realized how impossible this was to do.
Noticing the younger preacher's inability to unfold the rosebud without tearing it, the older preacher began to recite the following poem...
It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so easily,
But in my hands they die.
If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I have the wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?
So I'll trust in God for leading
Each moment of my day.
I will look to God for guidance
In each step of the way.
The path that lies before me,
Only my Lord knows.
I'll trust God to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose.

More Tech Jokes !
Caller: "Hello, is this Tech Support?"
Technical Support Answering Tip
"When helping someone fix their computer over the phone, and you want them to see if all the cables are plugged in correctly, don’t ask, “Have you checked to see if the cable is plugged in?” because the customer will always say, “Of course I did, do you think I’m a moron?” Instead say, “Remove the cable, blow the dust out of the connector, and plug it back in.” The customer will most likely reply, “Hey, it’s working now—I guess that dust really builds up in there!” "

Romans 12v9
Marks of the True Christian9 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. 10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
God’s own hand to guide each day—
This and more is for the asking
When we meditate and pray. —Anon.

My PSG-1 Toy Sniper Rifle
Finally.... after browsing thru the toy collectibles..... i finally decided on this baby...... th PSG-1 Sniper Rifle..... Sad thing though.... as soon as i bought it, someone in my workplace accidentally break my bipod stand..... as u clearly see the bipod stand is missing..... anyway.... my eyes were on this weapon.... as it is long and it has a fancy design..... well...... found some videos on U-tube on this piece......
"The PSG-1 sniper system (PrazisionsSchutzenGewehr, or "high-precision marksman's rifle" in English) had been developed by the German company Heckler - Koch by the mid-1980s as an ultimate police and counter-terror weapon. Some German elite law-enforcement groups, like GSG or KSK-9, participate in this development, and since its introduction the PSG-1 had been adopted by various police forces in Europe and Americas. It is way too heavy and somewhat too gentle for military use, so it never seen any military use."
